I see, thanks for the update on this!

Can you try the steps in this article by Apple, to see if you can add the Dropbox app to your files app again?

Thank you, but I had to delete the app to correct something.  It removed it from the files app.   When I down loaded and reinstalled the Dropbox app.  It did not allow me this access again.  At 5he time I didn’t know doing this would remove it from the files app.   So the article confirms this.   I’m looking for something to correct this, thank you!

Hi,

I have the same problem on a brand-new M1 iPad Pro. The Dropbox app does not appear in the “Locations” of the “Files” app. I have tried to reinstall Dropbox multiple times. No success. Dropbox as such works, but the Files integration is not working. It works for Google Drive. I.e. Google Drive appeared in the ‘Locations’ after I installed the App.

Any suggestions? I am on the latest release iPadOS

Thanks a lot

Niko

After a reboot of the iPad the Dropbox app appeared. I had tried to close it before, but with iPadOS you never know if it is really stopped. Anyhow it is fixed now.

2022.01.15 If you have a Dropbox account, first confirm you have file access with the Dropbox app on your Apple device.  You may add Dropbox as a file Location in the Files app by selecting Edit in the upper right corner of the sidebar (right side navigation pane).  Dropbox should now be an option with a slider button in the ON position.

If you follow the steps in the article attached it should work. I had this issue before as well.
