Multiple Win 11 Accounts - Unable To Link To DropBox

Multiple Win 11 Accounts - Unable To Link To DropBox

Hi

I'd be grateful if someone could help please.

I have a free Dropbox account and it is currently linked to three devices.

I have four user accounts setup on a Windows 11 PC and I've tried to access DropBox app from more than one account but have run in to issues. It appears each user account is being treated as a separate device. I didn't have this issue with Windows 10.

Is this a limitation or an error?

Thank you.

Hi @amjedm,

Actually Dropbox doesn't count user devices. Such a statement is a marketing trick. Dropbox count all application' links to their servers and "label" them as "devices". Stupid but fact; that's it. You are trying four links (from your four win accounts), something Dropbox assumes as 4 devices.

No, there is the same issue! Seems you have found a workaround somehow (probably unintentionally). Use the same workaround! 😉

Hope this gives direction.
