This is infuriating. I have been trying to cancel this subscription for about 2 years. I follow all of the steps and never get the cancel option at the bottom of the page ... and no, I did not open the account on an Android or mobile device.  This is absolutely insane that I cannot talk to someone or at least use the chat option to have someone respond to my specific question.  This is a devious and unscrupulous business plan that makes it so difficult to cancel that people give up.  I demand that someone get in touch with me to help me cancel this.

Hi @Shiaraop, thanks for posting on the Community.

 

I understand your frustration over the matter of cancellation. Do you see a transaction on this page? What is your current plan that you're on?

 

In general, if you have a billing query, you can contact support by logging into your account, clicking this support link, scrolling down to 'Submit a help request', and providing as much info as possible.

Good afternoon,
 
Thank you for your message. I tried to follow your steps and was still not able to get to the page that you instructed me to go to nor was I successful in cancelling my subscription. I have a dropbox basic account, for which I am charged ~$11/month.  It was started years ago with the email: [email removed as per Community Guidelines].  I have left the institution and no longer have access to this account.  Would you please help me just cancel this subscription?

There is no charge for a Dropbox Basic plan, so you must have another Dropbox account which is being charged.

If you don't have access to this email address, try opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into any account, and accessing this link.

From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter an email that you can access, and not the account you no longer use. With the payment details on that page, the support team should be able to assist.

Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system!

Try following the steps in my last message to open an incognito window to create a support ticket.

When you scroll down the page, you can enter that second email address there so that the team can contact you directly.
