I am trying to subscribe to a plan, and I get this message instead of being able to sign up:
Your plan and billing information are managed externally
Hey everyone.
Even though this issue should be resolved, please try upgrading again through a different browser or a private browsing window.

I am trying to link a Paypal account to my payment options. After selecting "Paypal" and entering in the country and bill zip, I select "Save" and I get a "Oops. Something went wrong" message. I tried this process in Firefox and Chrome, but the process is the same. I will say my Paypal account does have a different email address attached to it. Maybe this is causing the problem? Is it possible to get the 2 accounts to sync?

I'm having the exact same problem, i cant subscribe to any plan or update the billing method...

It might sound trivial, but are you sure you're imputing the correct information when trying to upgrade? Have you also tried an incognito tab on one of your browsers?

Are you both using the Basic plan at the moment? Is it possible that you're already subscribed to a plan, that's managed by Apple or Google?

@Megan i was previously in a plus subscription and i accidentally cancelled it, and now i cant resubscribe it.
It gives me the error: Your plan and billing information are managed externally.
I have exactly the same problem. I wanted to change the payment information and as soon as the subscription ended, the exact same error began to appear. I did not purchase a subscription in either the AppStore or Google Play, only through the website.

same issue. My plan is currently basic/free. I have previously subscribed though on a monthly basis. I have not purchased through an app store, only from the dropbox website.
I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to resubscribe to a plan and this is the message prompt and it's not pushing through. Tried to update the billing information to PayPal; however, there's an error "There was a problem completing this request" Can you please help me? This is urgent.
