Inaccurate quota usage on the Dropbox website

Inaccurate quota usage on the Dropbox website

In the browser, Dropbox tell me I am "using 3.19 GB of 2.75 GB storage".  My PC tells me I am using 26.4 MB.  I've compared the files and folders in Dropbox with what is in the Dropbox folder on my PC and they seem to match.  I have also permanently deleted all deleted files in Dropbox.  As best as I can tell, the usage numbers in the browser are wrong.

I was well over quota and deleted a number of large files and ensured that the sync is complete.

How do I get Dropbox to update my usage?

Thanks.

Hey @RamonaSteve, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

Can you take a look at the "all files" page in your Dropbox account, to double-check if you have any files saved there?

If you want, you can use the steps here, to see the size of files and calculate the size of folders on our website.

This should help you clarify what's going on.

Let me know what you find.

Thank you @Hannah.  This allowed me to find the issue and I am moving those files out of Dropbox.  Not sure why WinDirStat did not show this issue.

Thank you for your help.
