Change preference to open Dropbox link in android app (not browser)

Hello! I was given the prompt to open Dropbox links in the android app or browser when trying to open a file.

I accidentally selected the wrong option (always open in browser) and now I can't figure out how to get the link to open links in the app instead.

How do I change this setting? Thank you.

  • Hi ryandandelion, thanks for messaging the Community!

Could you try resetting the default settings in the Android OS by following these steps?

Keep me updated with any progress!

    Hi Jay!

Changing my defaults within the Dropbox settings of the Galaxy S8 android OS worked.

This is done by going to:

Settings -> Apps -> *three dots in top right corner* -> Default Apps -> Dropbox -> 'set as default' -> 'Go to supported URLs' -> It was already set to "always ask" I switched it to "always open in app" and it worked.

I have the same issue with my Android (Huawei P30 if it makes any difference)
I can't find any of the options listed here.

    Please help

PS: It is ANNOYING not to have any control over something as simple as apps settings.
