I was sent a url file and I can't open it as I'm getting an error

I was sent  a music file that ends with .url.  When I try to open it I get a message that says it will harm my computer.  I never encountered a url before.  Can someone tell me how to open it in Dropbox

A .url file isn't a music file. It's just a shortcut to a website. If you were expecting a music file then it will either be at the website that the .url file points to, or you'll need to contact the person who sent you the file.
