I was hoping to avoid uploading and downloading a 125GB file multiple times that I already have in WeTransfer. Other services allow for a dedicated email address to send large files to that will automatically add those files to storage. Perhaps you could convey that to your product management team as an enhancement request. Thank you for your help.92Views0likes7CommentsI can't change my Dropbox email address to a new one, because it's taken, even though it's not.
I want to change my account to a new email, and it says "This email address is already taken". Then I logged out my account, tried to sign in using the new email, and it asks me sign up an account. It seems the new email is not taken, can you help me to investigate the problem? Shall I put my email here? Thanks108Views0likes6CommentsI cannot change into a new email address, it says it's taken.
Hi all, I have read many of the threads and found that many have been facing this issue. I wanted to change my current email address to another one that is related to my business. As I am using this dropbox for business matters and planning to upgrade to professional. Yet I keep getting the message that the new email address is already in use. Then, when I go to sign in, to see how it is signed in as I am the only one that has access to it, the sign up page appears which clearly indicates it is not associated with any dropbox account. I also did the trick of using forgot my password with that email address and no email address, which also indicates that email doesn't exist in dropbox. How to solve this dilemma? Is this a glitch or a technical error?42Views0likes4CommentsI've lost email access – need help accessing my Dropbox account

Please contact me at this email address: [Removed as per Community Guidelines] or [Removed as per Community Guidelines] I also have another Dropbox account associated with this email: [Removed as per Community Guidelines] Thank you for your assistance.26Views0likes2CommentsWhy did I receive an email that my public links were temporarily suspended?
This email is an automated notification from Dropbox letting you know that your Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic. Headers look okay. Links look okay. I have only a basic account and the only files in it are some Valentine wallpapers I forgot to delete. They are set to private. I don't know what it means by "Public links." This is dated 2025-04-27 13:12 and I also received a sign-in notice dated Apr 27, 2025 at 12:55 pm. (Never ever got one before.) I don't have access to my mail 24/7, so I got them when I signed in today. I honestly don't remember if I used Dropbox yesterday, but I think it was Friday or Saturday. I did recently download a huge amount of graphics I purchased. Is that what they are referring to? It was from another account and I didn't save them to Dropbox. It sounds like a link to download something from my account, which is what confuses me, since I have nothing to download. I just want to know if I should be extra alert for phishing attempts. (I already tend to suspect everything unless I actually know it's okay.) And also, does Dropbox basically ignore phishing, or is there a place to report it, if that's what this is? ~Faith58Views0likes2CommentsThe one-time code gets sent to an inaccessible email address. How can I access my Dropbox account?
I would like to access an old college Dropbox account that contains a lot of important projects. I know the email and password associated but cannot get past the two-factor authentication. It submits a code to the email that is deactivated - that I have no access to anymore. This is dumb. Dropbox should by default negate two-factor for college email accounts after an extended period of time. The email address does not exist anymore! How do I solve this?I have no access to my email address and the password isn't working. How can I access my paid plan?
I have a dropbox plus account that is connected to an old email address to which I have no access any more. Since my password does not seem to work, I cannot reset it in the usual manner. Any ideas on what to do?Solved316Views0likes5CommentsHow can I cancel my Dropbox plan, if I can't access my account?
I have 2FA set up so it says I need to enter the code sent to my old email account when i try to log in. However, the company which set up my email address I used no longer exists. I cannot log in and change my email (as the bot so unhelpfully suggests) due to the 2FA. I will be billed unless I cancel the subscription.18Views0likes1CommentPlease email receipts for monthly subscriptions
Dropbox needs to start emailing monthly subscribers our receipts each month. Instead of making us retrieve them from inside Dropbox. I’m sure many of us need the receipts to file away for our expenses. Why does Dropbox value annual subscribers by sending them email receipts—But not the monthly subscribers?167Views10likes7CommentsI had an old Dropbox account, but I don't know which email address it was linked to.
Hello, I've had my current Dropbox account for over 10+ years, but before I made this one I also had another Dropbox account. I've tried to log in with all the email addresses I know of but I still haven't managed to find this one. The only thing I do have, is the User ID from sharing a public image many years ago, the image link no longer works but I do have the URL which contains the User ID in the form of: dropbox.com/u/XXXXXXX/image-name.png Is there anything I can do to locate the email address associated with this Dropbox account? Thanks in advance, Michael39Views0likes1Comment
