1611 TopicsI got asked to join a Clients TEAM - when i already had a business account for years before this...
I use DB everyday for my business, servicing 100's of clients with all types of Photo files... it was usually a peer to peer transaction, i upload files & grant access to them... end of story... THEN, I recently did a large job for a client with 1000 .JPG files... a few days later i got an email that said "the same client" wanted me to join their "Team" I thought this was harmless & i said ok, perhaps this was a new featurein DB, but as soon as i clicked OK it started merging ALL of my files, im talking my business account with Terabytes of files to the new client TEAM account.... i no longer have my own personal business account that ive had & paid for annually for years... im now listed as a team member & now my client is the ADMIN of all my files...! How can i undo this??? I pay a large annual fee to DB with paypal & tnow DB has already changed my account setting & refunded me $$$ via Paypal because now my client owns the account & pays the fees... This is so annoying and really bad for me if they drop me from the team i'm in FEAR of losing everything i have stored... I use DropBox for our charity documentation and paid for a plan with charity funds, yet this is not reflecting on the account as it still is a free account. Dear Dropbox Community, I can not figure out how to cancel my $22/mo. individual plan, which I not longer use. I have logged into my account via both the web and Android app and still can not cancel it. Very frustrating. And I can not locate a phone number, chat option or email to get help from Dropbox. I am sure Dropbox is a fine company with a great product. But, I not longer need it. I would be MOST appreciative if anyone can tell me how to cancel my account. My most recent charge on my credit card was yesterday, Oct. 31. Would love to get a refund, but I am not sure that is possible. Many thanks. Hi there! We want to store regular files, pictures, as well as medical files that require protection (HIPAA). A storage size of 1-2 TB will be enough. A regular link will be enough for us to display regular files and images. But for protected files, it is necessary that the link is always generated new and valid for a certain amount of time, as long as we specify, for example. The number of users is 1. Hi, after roughly 5 years on the Plus plan, I just switched to Basic the other day because I won't be needing Dropbox anymore. I wanted to download the last invoice (for April 2025) but can't access my Billing area anymore - all it tells me is "Something went wrong while retrieving your billing history. Please try again later." (Yes, I have tried this more than once.) The cherry on top is that now that I'm on the Basic plan, I can't contact customer service to ask for my last invoice. Perfect... I got a notification popup that offered me Dropbox basic-extra. It was around 500GB for around $6 a month. I was excited to take the offer but was busy with other people and the timing was not right so I thought I would sign up later when I got home. But the offer was gone. On a Live Chat a customer service person gave me a URL link to redeem it but it just gave an error that said it is not available. How can I get the basic-extra plan? It is just personal use and I just cannot justify 2TB or more money. Kindly let me know how I can upgrade to the basic-extra plan. It would be great if you actually had a phone number and took Customer Service seriously. My company just refused to use them, 25 to 30 users with their own unique IDs and we were going pay for all of them, but I had a billing issue with mine and I told them that I couldn’t even get anyone to call me no matter how many times I asked. I would like to see a more cost-effective offer for those people, like me, who don't work in a team but still need a lot of Dropbox space. Simply put: 60–70% of all creative professionals.
