Referrals

Hello, I have shared my Dropbox referral link with several friends, and they have successfully created accounts using that link. They have also installed the Dropbox desktop application, logged into their accounts, and even shared some folders with me through it. However, the additional storage space that should be awarded for these referrals has not been credited to my account yet. Could someone please help me understand why the referral bonus is not showing up and how I can resolve this issue? Thank you in advance for your assistance!59Views0likes8CommentsLost 6.25GB (of 15GB) from my quota when compared to yesterday's total
I have been a BASIC Dropbox user for years (Maybe 10?). I had accumulated 15GB via new users I had recommended as well as other bonus storage - all in addition to the initial 2GB and more. Yesterday I cleaned up (deleted) several GB to reduce usage 1.1GB in order to upload about 12GB. Today I logged into Dropbox to finish my project and noticed I now have ONLY 8.75GB of the 15GB of yesterday. ... What am I missing here - other than the storage space? ;-) Help, please. ... thanks a million (rather, thanks 6.25 Gigs)64Views0likes9CommentsDropbox says my account is full, but I'm only using 8 out of 18GB.
Hi, I have a free account with Dropbox for many years and have earned 18 GB of space by referring others over the years. Currently Dropbox has locked my account saying it is Full, and to Upgrade to get more space. However I am only using 8 GB of space. I tried emailing Dropbox Support, but they won’t respond as I only have a free account. Does anybody know how to fix this? Hello Dropbox Community, I have referred a brand new friend and also managed the installation and set up of the dropbox include introduction and funtional usage such as scan function. but unfortunately the referral bonus is not credited but rather marked as "ineligible". Please kindly assist me in securing this referral as every KB matters. Thank you and kind regards Linus15Views0likes1CommentReferral bonus marked as ineligible, after my brother claimed it on a new laptop.
Hi, my brother recently bought brand new laptop and registered in addition to MS account my brother account and invited him to install Dropbox using email. On completing all necessary steps I've got status "Ineligible" and he has got the same message Please, clarify what is the reason of the status.46Views0likes5CommentsReferral marked “Ineligible” despite full compliance.
Hi Dropbox Team, I’m reaching out regarding an issue with your referral system — and this is now the second time I’ve experienced it. Recently, I referred a colleague sitting next to me at work. She followed the exact steps: She clicked my referral link. She created a completely new Dropbox account with a previously unused company email. She installed the Dropbox app on her own desktop computer, which had never had Dropbox installed before, and signed in. We work at the same company, so while we might share an external IP, we use separate desktop computers with different internal IPs. Despite this, her referral status is listed as “Ineligible.” Since I’ve experienced this same issue before with another legitimate referral, I’m beginning to feel concerned about how the system is evaluating valid cases like ours. I truly value Dropbox and have been recommending it to people around me. But when these referrals are consistently flagged, it becomes difficult to maintain confidence in the process — and frankly, it's embarrassing. I’d really appreciate it if someone could take a closer look at this particular referral and clarify why it may have been marked ineligible. If there’s a technical reason, I’d love to understand it better to avoid similar issues in the future. Thanks in advance for your time and support.58Views0likes3CommentsReferral marked “Ineligible” despite full compliance again
