Dropbox says I'm using more space than I do, but I don't see this anywhere.
Hi. My dropbox account is listing more than twice the amount of storage space used than the total from the folders that I have. I have zero regular files, and have never used backup. I have two shared folders, that total about 800mb together, but dropbox is saying that shared folders are instead taking up 1.7gb of my 2gb space given with a basic account. I had nothing in my trash so tried moving and deleting a folder, to see if the total reset, but it didn't help. I've searched here for a solution and it seems to be usually an issue with cache or backups, but I have never used backup and don't have the desktop or mobile app installed. I've included the screenshots below which seem to be asked for for others with similar problems. Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou.
How can I hide members' email addresses from other members using the shared folder?
Hi it has been brought to my attention that when I share a file with a member staff they can click on all members before clicking into the file and they can view everyone's email addresses. I have never notice this before and my staff do not feel comfortable that everyone can see there private email addresses. Can I hide members information from others? Thanks Michelle

Bonjour, J'ai grand besoin d'aide. Je viens de changer mon portable et j'ai installĂ© l'App Dropbox. Elle est aussi installĂ©e depuis de annĂ©es sur mon iPad et sur PC Win 11. A chaque dĂ©marrage de l'app sur le nouvel iPhone (16 Pro), je reçois l'invitation de consulter un document. Sur les deux autres appareils ne ne l'ai pas. Pour y remĂ©dier, j'ai dĂ©sinstallĂ©/rĂ©installĂ© plusieurs fois l'app sur mon Iphone. J'ai vidĂ© le cache. J'ai bloquĂ©e les notifications Dropbox. J'ai mĂȘme effacĂ© le dossier partagĂ© avec la personne qui m'invite Ă la consultation. Le document n'existe plus et chez la personne m'invitante il n'y aucun partage en attente. Rien y fait... l'invitation revient Ă chaque dĂ©marrage. C'est SOULANT. Je serai vraiment contente si q.q peut m'aider Ă rĂ©soudre ce problĂšme, aussi pour savoir si d'autres personnes rencontrent ce mĂȘme problĂšme. Comme j'ai un compte gratuit, l'assistance de Dropbox ne m'aide pas.
Being asked to upgrade for more storage to upload when my client is already paying for the Dropbox.
I am being asked to upgrade my account, when my client has upgraded the storage to a significant amount. 2TB or something. There is lots of space in the dropbox. Do I have to upgrade to upload as well when the space has already been paid for? Thanks
Sharing of starred images or voting for favourite files.
Idea is simply to modify current account specific star system to multi user or creating a new voting button to allow trusted others to see your rating and add their own if they have edit privileges. This would be much faster for simple Go / No Go collaborative decisions for large numbers of files than current âadd commentâ method. A stretch goal would be different colours of stars to show each userâs choice Example would be a creator shares a Dropbox folder of 500 proof photos with a client and asks them to select the ones that they wish to be edited by starring just their favourites. This MUST improve Dropboxâs collaboration function and as long as it is added to edit privileges, I canât see any downsides I see that this has been suggested before and closed out, but possibly it is because many users donât realise this part of the forum exists so donât up vote?Why is my account full because of shared files?
Hello ! I have no files on my Dropbox Basic, but connected to 2.3 GB shared files. The shared files are not my files â someone else is paying a fee to store them on Dropbox. Is that an error that Dropbox is asking me to upgrade for accessing the shared files or just a way for Dropbox to get paid twice...?! Thank you for sharing your opinion... :)Full video not downloading, only part of it.
Not really sure what is going on... I have tried downloading multiple different video files that are on a shared dropbox, but the full video does not download. It says on my computer that the video is the full length, etc. but it only downloads up to about 20minutes max (usually a max of 5-7GB). (I am using a chrome browser) Has anyone had this issue and know how to resolve?
