Access and token for Dropbox refresh
Hello, Everyone.
I'm trying to authenticate using Dropbox. I obtained an access token and am now able to create folders and files successfully. The problem is that after 14400 seconds (4 hours), the access token does not appear to be refreshed, resulting in the message "access token expired." It must function on a public connection, thus utilizing a custom authentication method will not work. If anyone has had this experience and can offer help, it would be greatly appreciated!

Dropbox does not offer the option for creating long-lived access tokens. Dropbox issues short-lived access tokens (and optional refresh tokens) instead.
That said, apps can get long-term access by requesting "offline" access though, in which case the app receives a "refresh token" that can be used to retrieve new short-lived access tokens as needed, without further manual user intervention. Refresh tokens do not expire automatically and can be used repeatedly. You can find more information in the OAuth Guide and authorization documentation. There's a basic outline of processing this flow in this blog post which may serve as a useful example.When you use one of the official SDKs, you do not need to implement all of the logic for this process yourself. The SDK will do most of the work for you. You can find examples in each of the SDKs GitHub repository.
