Copy files from remote computer to DropBox
Hello,
I would like to copy files from a remote computer to DropBox. Basically I want to do scp -r into DropBox. Is there a way that I can do this through the API?
One potential wrinkle: my institution is currently limited to 25,000 API calls per month, the folders on the remote computer that I need to copy to DropBox rountinely have 30,000+ files in them, so a file by file call will not work. Thank you.

I stumbled upon this the other day. I don't know if it uses one call per file so you'll need to research that, but the utility looks promising and might work for your situation.

areich The Dropbox API does offer the ability to upload files programmatically. For smaller files:
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#files-upload
For larger files:
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#files-upload_session-start
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#files-upload_session-append_v2
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#files-upload_session-finish
Those are subject to any limits on your Business plan though, so you'd need to contact your account representative to change that if necessary.
