Create folder using Dropbox API gets created inside /home/username/
Hi Team,
I am trying to create folder using Dropbox API. I need the folders to get created inside /home/ but the folders are getting created inside /home/username/. I am trying to check any settings for dropbox cloud to change the home path where folders and files get created, but am not able to find the configuration. Can you please help me with this issue. Also let me know if this behaviour is normal for folders and files to get created in /home/username/.
Thanks,
CD12

Hi CD12,
What's the result of a listing to your account with an empty path (path neither '/home' nor '/home/user', but just empty '')? What this result matches to? 🧐😉
Hope this will give direction.

CD12 By default, API calls to the Dropbox API operate in the "member folder" of the connected account, not the "team space". That means that by default, folders will not be created in the team space, for example.
You can configure API calls to operate in the "team space" instead though, in order to interact with files/folders in the team space. To do so, you'll need to set the "Dropbox-API-Path-Root" header. You can find information on how to use this in the Team Files Guide.
Also, note that for teams with the updated team space, you should use /2/team/team_folder/create to create team folders in the team space. Refer to this post for more information.
