Drop-in Saver for client-generated data?
I want a simple process for saving client-generated content (e.g. blobs generated from bytearrays such as zip files, canvas images, or other binary data generated inside the browser in javascript) up to the end users own dropbox, on a button click. The user would not have to authenticate until the click, since there are other buttons for saving to other providers or direct download or local storage, etc. Is this yet possible with the wonderful saver dropin?

Cross-linking with http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32961230/upload-blob-to-dropbox-from-client-side-javascript on Stack Overflow.
The question there is slightly different... no, this isn't possible with the Dropbox Saver, but you can use the Core API to do this.

I've read replies to that effect, but without a worked example that shows the auth process (say using client authdriver popup), the process that lets the client choose where in their dropbox my file will be stored, and how auth then hands back to a caller function to write the file. Is such a worked example a thing that I just haven't yet found?

UI to let the user choose a destination is something you would need to build yourself.
I'm not sure there's a good example of using the popup auth driver. I agree that it would be a nice example to have.
If you post the code you've written so far and where you got stuck, we might be able to help.
