DropBox auth token

Hi,

I'm using an app which calls to Dropbox for an auth token. I can then sign in to DropBox but then nothing happens further than that. I can see the address in the top of the screen, but it never works. This is on an android 9 device with the latest Chrome and DropBox apps installed - these work fine. Is there any way to add an auth token manually to complete the process?

Of note, the app works on an Android 12 device with the same DropBox and Chrome app versions installed.

Any help would be most gratefully received.

I'll be happy to help with any issues you're having with the Dropbox API, but I'll need some more information. Please reply with:

    - the name and version number of the SDK/library you are using, if any
    - the steps to reproduce the issue, including relevant code snippet(s), but don't include any access or refresh token(s)
    - the full text of any error or unexpected output or screenshot and URL of any broken web page

My only concern here is that you think i may know something...

When i use the CCS Revolectrix app to sync to dropbox, i initially have to log in to drop box - which i can do. After that (https://www.dropbox.com/1/oath2/redirect_receiver#token_type=bearer&access_token= [string etc.] &account_id=dbid%[string etc.]

I left the actual token string out of the above [shown as string etc.]

After that is shown in what looks like a navigation bar, nothing happens - it doesn't go back to the app or anything, i just have to close it out without the ability to sync to dropbox. Oddly, on an Android 12 device it works - so i made sure that they both have the same chrome browser (v95.0.4638.74) and dropbox app (v258.2.2). Does the token launch the original app again? I'm trying to understand where the failure is so i could possibly update that part?

Thanks for getting back to me.

Thanks for following up. To clarify, are you the developer of the "CCS Revolectrix app"? If not, you'll need to reach out to them for help with this.

Thanks for confirming. Yes, unfortunately exactly how the app receives that OAuth result will depend on the app (and the app might need to be updated to address the issue you're seeing), so that would be something the developer would need to look into. Apologies I don't have better news for you!
