How to list all files shared with me
How to list all the files shared with me?
Today, I found a video file from Dropbox "Recent" that I don't recognize, it says it's viewed 2 hours ago, but I'm sure I didn'...

Hi fbx_dsb,
🙂No, the file is NOT one shared with you (or not directly to your account at least). That what you're talking about is shared link to a file - it's something different! Since it's NOT part of your account, it misses in your list (actually you don't have any files shared to you - again, rather your account; in some cases it might be different like now). Dropbox API can see your Dropbox account only, not you as a person! 😉
Hope this helps.
PS: Keep in mind that file can be shared as a part of shared folder - in such a case it won't appear as a shared file.

Thank you. Then how come it suddenly show up in my "Recent"?

You make me speculate... Likely you have copied it into your account using "copy to Dropbox".

No, I had never copied it. I only have option to copy it now if click on that file from "Recent".
If I search for the filename, in the list it says "Shared with you".
Possible to list more details:
- When this is shared?
- Do I need to confirm before being shared? Seems like I don't have a choice.
- Who viewed it "2 hours ago". Surely I didn't
- Any other files are also "Shared with me" that I don't know, which may show up in my "Recent" someday later?
