Need Assistance with Enabling Permanent File Deletion in Scoped Dropbox App
Hello,
I hope you're all well. I'm encountering an issue while working with the Dropbox API, specifically regarding permanent file deletion, and I'm seeking your assistance.
I've created a scoped app in the app console and configured permissions in the account info, files and folder, and collaboration sections. My goal is to implement permanent file deletion in my SDK. However, I'm unsure about the necessary settings to enable in the permissions tab to achieve this.
I attempted to enable the files.permanent_delete permission, but when I tried to obtain an authorized code, it displayed a sign-in window. After signing in, it displayed the same window(sign-in) again.
Could you please advise me on the permissions I need to enable to perform permanent file deletion?
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or information that could help me better understand and resolve this issue. Thank you for your assistance!

Hi SandeepCNT,
Is your account business (i.e. group) or personal? Keep in mind the permanently deletions is unsupported for personal account and business one will be expected.
Hope this helps.

SandeepCNT Здравко is correct; the files.permanent_delete scope can only be used by team-linked apps, and so can only be authorized by team admins. If you try to authorize any team scopes while signed in to a non-team account, you'll be prompted to sign in to a teams account instead. If you have a teams account, make sure you're signed in to that when attempting to authorize this. Otherwise, this functionality won't be available.
