Single app for BOTH Personal and Business sync

I need to create a single app that will allow any Dropbox account to sync their folders with my app, business OR individual accounts should be able to work. I found this old thread where it says you DO NOT need to do that, and it is marked as the answer, but in my testing that is what I conclude as well.  Has anyone gotten this to work with a single app?   Here is the old thread:  https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101000014/unable-to-access-folders-in-business-account-connected-by-oauth2-with-team-permi/602977
