Sync status via explorer icon ovelay

I am designing a Windows app that, among other things, will tell the user the sync status of their Dropbox account. The simplest option for me is to check for the Green mark icon overlay in explorer....

Dropbox doesn't offer any sort of API for querying the status like this unfortunately. I'll send it along as a feature request.
