Unique identifier for file or folder
The most of the APIs returns path as an attribute for files or folders. eg. "/log/get_events" API. Now as a dropbox for Business Admin would have no control on identify the file if two users have same path attributes owned by different members.
So the question arises that is there a unique identifier for file or folder which a business admin can use to differentiate between files with same path but owned by different members? If yes how can we get those identifiers in differnet APIs of files or events?
Regards,
Abhishek

The path is considered the unique identifier, though we're considering using IDs for files and tracking it as a feature request. More info here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/201368209-ID-for-files

Abhishek, if two different users have a file at the same path, you can tell the difference between these files by looking at the user who owns the file (typically via the "member ID" in the Dropbox for Business API).
