How to get file request time rather than server or client modified

Hello.

I am able to retrieve recently changed files using

/2/files/search_v2

and I see that I can choose

server_modified

or

client_modified

 ...

Is there a way to get the date of the request itself?

In other words, if I open a file the close it without saving it, is there a record of that file exchange between the client and server?

  • No, unfortunately, the Dropbox API doesn't offer the ability to retrieve the time a file was opened and not modified like that, but I'll pass this along as a feature request. I can't promise if or when that might be implemented though.
