Password protected sub-folders in Embedder

Hi,

I'm currently using the JS embedder - https://www.dropbox.com/developers/embedder

The main parent folder is shown with sub-folders list. Parent folder is not password protected. But I want to protect only few sub-folders with a password. Even if I set a password, the embedder doesn't ask for any password when clicked.

Is there a way we can set this settings?

Thanks

No, unfortunately there isn't a way to make that work that way. Access in the Embedder depends on the single shared link you supply to the Embedder (i.e., for the parent folder, in this case). If that link doesn't have a password enabled, then the end-user will be able to access the linked folder and all of its contents without a password. This is the case even if the contents happen to have their own link(s) with password(s) enabled, since those are distinct links.

There's a similar thread here with some more information.
