Dropbox link loading mimecast page or dropbox says theres an error
I've been sent an email with a dropbox link, if I click on or copy/paste the link in a browser I'm forwarded to Device Enrollment Mimecast webpage at
security-eu.mimecast.com
If i type in the link manually, dropbox states theres an error.
The company that has sent the dropbox link is saying the issue is our end as all their other dealers have opened it fine.
I have no idea how to rectify this? Ive tried opening the link on various devices and OS's, all open the link to mimecast
any ideas please
Thanks for the example, the URL looks correct.
After some brief research, it's possible that the link they sent you was via their own security measure in their email provider, which is causing this behavior, and is unrelated to Dropbox itself. It might try to redirect to the Dropbox URL via this security measure.
If the email does show the link as www.dropbox.com/sh/ etc (and not a hyperlink within existing text, like so), then try selecting the text itself, and paste that into the browser, instead of clicking the link directly.

That page has nothing to do with Dropbox. It appears to be a service enabled by your IT department. I would contact them about this.

I’ve also tried the Dropbox link on my personal computer at home and get the same problem - Jay4 years ago

Hi southpaw, if you used it on your personal machine at home, were you connected to a VPN to your work machine?
What is the URL format of the shared link, without posting it here? Does it start with www.dropbox.com and look like a normal URL?
- southpaw4 years agoExplorer | Level 3My personal computer has never been connected to the work network at all.
The url starts off https://www.dropbox.com/sh/*****/***** - Jay4 years ago

you're having trouble with a Dropbox link. It's possible that the link is broken or no longer valid, or there may be an issue with your internet connection.
If you're seeing a Mimecast page instead of the expected Dropbox page, it's possible that your organization has implemented Mimecast as a security measure, and the link is being intercepted by Mimecast before it reaches Dropbox. In this case, you may need to contact your IT department or administrator to see if they can help resolve the issue.
If you're seeing an error message from Dropbox, it's possible that the link has expired, the file has been deleted, or there's a problem with the Dropbox server. You can try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or trying the link on a different device or browser to see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, you can contact Dropbox support for further assistance.

I'm the IT department for my company and we use Mimecast so I have some experience here.
The screen you are seeing is part of Mimecasts URL protection. Mimecast rewrites the URL when it goes through the mail filter however if you aren't using Mimecast in your business you shouldn't get the enrollment screen.
Is it possible Mimecast was implemented without your knowledge? I would suggest that you follow the enrollment process and see what happens.
