How to Export or Download photos from Dropbox and retain the original capture date and metadata?

I cannot work out how to export or download photos stored in Dropbox quickly.  And worse still, I cannot work out how to retain the original dates of the images when I do download them.  What is the ...

How are you currently exporting/downloading your photos from Dropbox?

 

Have you tried syncing the files using the Dropbox desktop app?
