Automation for renaming files doesn't work

I set up Dropbox automation to "When files are added to [main folder], Then rename them to [YYYY-MM-DD - example filename.pdf]".  Then, I tried dragging multiple files from my computer into the folde...

    The automation is working now.  I have no idea what fixed it.

I forgot to put that in my first post. I did try dragging and dropping as well as using the upload button. And I tried 3 new folders with the same exact automation settings. None worked.

    I tried this and it has had no effect. I removed automation from the 3 folders, and then added it back with the same settings. But there's no difference. It does not change the file names.
