How to delete files locally, but not from the website?

How can I delete files from my laptop but not from dropbox? My computer is reaching it's max and I need to start deleting some files to make room but still want to have access to them later. How do I...

ok, i'll try that but i really just want to turn it off. i've reached my limit and and i'm getting tired of getting the reminders to upgrade. is there any way to just turn it off?

Hey DiFig!

 

You can always simply uninstall the app. 

 

Once you do that, your Dropbox folder will remain into your hard drive, but any changes you make there won't be reflected to your account online.
