958 TopicsIssue deleting a large number of files
Hi there. Sorry if a topic like this has already been made, but I require some assistance. See, I play a lot of PC games, but for some reason, Dropbox, or my computer, downloads any images that are seen in the game and has it saved here on Dropbox, which I absolutely do not need. When I saw that I went over the necessary amount of file storage, I tried deleting all of the images in my account, but it says its unable to. I don't know if its because there are so many files, or because of something else. If someone can show me an effective way to delete all of the files/image I have, or better yet, have Support or an Admin do it, I'd be greatly appreciative.54Views0likes3CommentsCan I delete the backup of PC that I can't access using my mobile browser?
I am running out of storage. But I do not have files on dropbox. But when I go to the backups page I saw a device which I think have linked to PC that I don't have access anymore. I cannot delete it. I tried to delete a file of that device then there pop up "delete [folder] from your [device] backup". I don't click backup settings because I don't have access to that PC. So instead I click "I don't have access" and it go me to settings/security and unlink the PC. But after unlinking I still can't delete the device or any of it's file from backup page of my browser. Can anyone help me to solve this issue.Solved219Views0likes6CommentsI keep seeing a pop-up message online that keeps appearing each time. Can I stop it?
For the past few days, when I log in to the web version of Dropbox.com, I get a pop-up message that says, "View files you have deleted - You can also easily restore or permanently delete them here." Even if I click the OK button, the message keeps appearing every time I log in. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thanks!44Views0likes4CommentsRecovery options on files that were deleted more than 30 days ago on the Basic plan
Hi, This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but it seems to be my only option. I recently discovered that my now ex-wife deleted some files from Dropbox. Most of them I don't care about, but one thing she did delete was my Keepass password database. This was done back in May. Many of the accounts that I've been using lately I knew the passwords off the top of my head so I didn't need to access the database. I tried to get to the database last week, and discovered she had deleted it. Stupid me should have backed it up, but I can't do anything about that now. At any rate, given that I'm on a Basic free account with the limitation that deleted files are not accessible after 30 days, is there any option for me here? I'll gladly pay a reasonable fee for this. Thank youSolved99Views1like5CommentsCan I recover my content after 30 days?
I had Dropbox on my work computer , personal laptop and iPhone and when I changed jobs my old company deleted the Dropbox files and it erased them on all devices. I had some irreplaceable pictures and files and they won’t recover trying on other devices. I’ve reached out to Dropbox support multiple times and they have never responded. Now that it’s been over 30 days is there anyway to recover files and pictures ?22Views0likes1CommentMove or copy photos from iPhone or iCloud to Dropbox
I’m using the latest iOS 12 release, and the latest version of the Dropbox iOS app, on my iPhone X. I have over 7,000 photos on my iPhone; they are also synced to my iCloud. (The volume consists of pretty much every photo I’ve ever had on an iPhone, beginning with an iPhone 4S.) Having this number of photos on my iPhone has been making my iPhone quite sluggish. I tried using the Dropbox iOS app’s built-in feature to copy or move the photos to one of my Dropbox folders; but, on each attempt, the Dropbox iOS app hangs, after moving anywhere from few hundred to a couple of thousand photos. I then opened the iCloud app in Windows 10, intending to copy the photos en masse to Dropbox, then, once the move was confirmed, erase the photos from my iCloud. (I also tried this through accessing my iCloud via Google Chrome.) I can’t seem to select more than 1 photo at a time, in my iCloud photos area. As you can imagine, selecting over 7,000 photos, one at a time, is not feasible. Thank u VERY much, peeps, for any help with this! 🙂Solved45KViews4likes4CommentsHow to delete files when your Dropbox is full?
My drop box is a personal account account and is full. How do I delete files to free up space as it won't give me access to my space / files? When I'm logged in it asks me to pay and upgrade - I don't see any alternatives which allow me to view current data so I can delete files. I don't want to upgrade as I do not use drop box that often.Solved30KViews3likes20Comments
