Has Dropbox changed how html files are shared?
Last week I could use the public link to an html file in my browser and it would display. As of today, every browser I have on both Mac OS and Windows now gives a pop window asking what to do with th...

Yes. As per emails HTML stopped being rendered/displayed on the 1st of October. After that they would download only for free users. Paying users have until Sept. 2017

I am a paying user for a few months. One of our major business uses is to have an image repository on the Public folder. Most of our web pages have links to /dl.dropboxusercontent.com/xxx. Is Dropbox going to give us an alternative solution for discontinuing the html rendering?

The only workaround is www.dropbox.com/help/167, however, all links need to be manually reconfigured- clauclau9 years agoNew member | Level 2
Dear Friends:
I think this is not a real "workaround", because links to shared files do not work as html <img> tags so they can not "serve" an image to be displayed in a web page, the way it used to be by means of the Old Public folder.
. My opinion is that as paying users we deserve a real solution to this issue.

Sure they can. The image below is from a share link in my account. You just need to change the ?dl=0 at the end of the link to ?raw=1 before you can use it in an IMG tag. You can find the documentation on that here.
