Other sharing options other than a direct link or transfer link?
I'm looking to share ongoing work with a client that is live view, but not connected to my personal Dropbox account. I haven't come across anything that Dropbox offers through there app center, but thinking maybe there's a plugin I can add to Dropbox and view in Finder on my mac?

Hey @kimhold, I hope you're doing well!
Do you wish to share a folder/file with your client?
I'm asking because in that case a shared link would work. A shared link would give them access to the specific file/folder without them having access to your account.
If this isn't your cup of tea, feel free to let me know more of what you have in mind and if your client has a Dropbox account, and I'd be happy to share more with you.
Thanks!

Hi Megan, I'm most likely looking to share a folder. To explain in detail it would be duplicated files that already exist on my Dropbox reorganized for their view and updated in real time. The issue is I don't really want the duplicates on my account. It would be great to host this work somewhere else. Open to your suggestions. The client does not have Dropbox.

Hey @kimhold, thanks for the speedy reply!
To cut to the chase, we don't have something in Dropbox that would fit all of the standards you mentioned.
We have the option to share a folder with your client. However, they'd need a Dropbox account, and any changes you both make would be reflected on each other's account.
In any case I'm going to keep the thread open, and invite our members to join the discussion and share any alternatives or tricks they might be using.
If you need something else, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help every step of the way!

Megan is correct, we don't quite offer a solution to your use case today. The closest options would be either a shared folder or transfer, but they offer mutually exclusive sets of your requirements.
- Shared Folder - doesn't meet your requirement that shared files be arranged in a custom way for the client that is different from your own Dropbox.
- Transfer - doesn't meet your requirement that updates are reflected live.
We have explored offerings that address this in the past and appreciate your raising this. Input like this helps us determine where our customer needs are and how we can help improve their workflows and collaboration.

Thanks Jason,
Our client uses Hightail and I've come across a Dropbox and Hightail integration through Zapier. Do you know much about this? Do you think this is a viable solution for viewing live files especially with out separate teams Dropbox and Hightail accounts?
