Who did I share my folder with?
Hi!
I was hoping if someone can kindly help me find a way to check who I shared a folder with as I do not remember sharing it with anyone but it has the shared icon and is listed under the shared tab. It says that Only I have access to it.
Thank you!

Hi Kashif Nurani, thanks for posting today.
It is possible to create a shared folder without inviting anyone to the folder.
Currently, there isn't a way to see who you previously shared the folder with, if there was anyone.
If you need to unshare the folder, you can follow these steps.
I hope this helps to clarify matters!

Thanks Jay for the prompt feedback.
The situation is that the folder already existed and was in the vault, but as the vault discontinued since 4th March, I moved it into another folder. I realized a day after that my vault folder and the other folder were labelled as shared around the same time I was moving them around (folder activity) . That is why I am concerned that how can this be as I never shared them with anyone.
Thanks again - Mark10 months ago

Did you move them in to a folder already shared? That would share them.
You can see all shares at www.dropbox.com/events and view all events that happened at www.dropbox.com/events.

I did not move them in an existing shared folder, because it was just these two folders (vault and the other) that were under the shared tab.

If you said you moved the files into another folder, it does sound like you moved them into a shared folder already.
Could you check the events page to see the history of the file movements?

Thanks for sharing this its very helpful. Strangely I still can not see from the events that if the folder were ever shared. I can see the other activities related to the folders but not about them being shared.

You would get an event similar to 'You created the shared folder xxxx' in the events page. It is possible that this shared folder was created a while ago?

In the events page I can see that the folder was added but it does not mention the location. I also just created a shared folder and its reflected in the events page as you said 'You created a shared folder xxxx'.
But if you suggest it might have been created/ shared a while ago (which I am quite confident, I never did as it was personal items), will I be able to access that information through the events page?

I believe the Events page only goes back about six months if you're a Basic user. I could be wrong. Mine goes back about a year and I'm on a paid account.

I checked for basic users it goes back to 30 days.
Thanks for all your support, it surely is very helpful.
Its just very frustrating as the events log only goes back till Monday 3rd March, and it does not show any sharing activity.
Coincidently, I only created Vault folder the same day (3rd March) and moved my personal folder in it for more security but as the vault folder was discontinued I just moved the personal folder out of it and I believe that is when both the folders were shared or at least presented as shared.
