Permanently deleting files doesn't free up space??
It says under deleting files that permanently deleting files "won't free up storage". Question is, why not? and if that doesn't do it, what does? i do not have shared folders BTW. How can i free up ...

Deleted files dont use up quota, so, permanently deleting them makes no difference.
The only way to get space back is to remove files from Dropbox - basically anything at www.dropbox.com/home is what uses your space.

Okay, thank you. This issue remains very confusing to me! I deleted a significant number of files and did not regain any space. I was about to click on permanently delete in the trash but then read that permanently deleting would not regain space. But why did deleting to begin with not regain space in my case?
