Free Space Not Updating
Dropbox Plan Basic/ Standard Device Google Pixel 9 Pro Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Chrome Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 452.2.2 Question or Issue I've deleted all of the files in my Dropbox with the exception of one small word document. MySpace still says that I've used up 3.1/ 3.8 GB but elsewhere in my storage says that I'm only using 0.1% storage. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and logged out and logged back in, and ensured that I don't have any language shared folders that are taking up space. The error message I keep receiving says that I need more space but I have virtually nothing worth of files at this moment. I can't even navigate to a page to start a customer support or help ticket or figure out how to actually contact Dropbox support. The help pages just keeps recirculating back to each other and not showing me any new information or a way to navigate to more concentrated help.
I didn't get the 100GB promo space through Acer Jumpstart.

I have a number of not-for-profit files on the system, which are now under threat because Dropbox is now saying I only have a 2GB allowance. This came about after I uploaded some files on a temporary basis and hit my maximum storage space. This was quickly addressed, but I seem to have lost the space that I previously enjoyed, having earned it via referrals. I need to know whether or not it is recoverable, as I will have to make other arrangements for my not-for-profit activities if it isn't recoverable.
My Basic account shows 2.6 TB “shared files” but I cannot see or leave any shared folder
Hi, My personal Dropbox account ([removed]) shows 2.64 TB used out of 2.5 GB. The storage page says that the space is used by “Shared files (2.6 TB)” but I cannot see any shared folders in my account. I am not part of any team and I cannot find any shared folders under the /sharing or /share pages, or anywhere else in the interface. My own files are only around 190 kB. I also cannot change owner settings or leave any shared folder because nothing is visible. It seems like my account is linked to an old or hidden “legacy shared space” which is not visible in the current interface and cannot be removed by myself. Could a Dropbox Staff member please disconnect this hidden or legacy shared space from my account? This is the only way to restore the correct storage usage. Thank you very much. My referral was marked as ineligible, even though we used a brand new computer.
Hi, I just set up my Dad's brand new computer we bought from Lenovo and I referred him to Dropbox. Followed all the steps and it says he is ineligible. This is a new computer (not refurbished etc) that has not have dropbox installed before and he has never had a dropbox account before. What went wrong?My storage usage is over the Basic limit and I can't access my files to delete them.
Help, I didn't want to sync all my files to dropbox and now I'm over my limit and can't access any files so I can go below this limit. Syncing has been stopped but what happens to my files on my computer if I cancel my dropbox account - will they get deleted ? I've since changed computers and transferred files / folders to the new desktop. Does dropbox have a link to my computer?
Not enough storage and missing files after accidentally setting up Dropbox Backup
Hello! I have a client that didn't realize he must've clicked for Dropbox to backup his files, despite having a free account with only 2 GB. Well he got a new computer, and his old drive was cloned to the new computer. Even with Dropbox signed in, the files aren't actually in Dropbox, despite opening programs on the old computer and the path showing something such as: "C:\Users\Owner\Dropbox\My PC (Owner-PC)\Desktop\Clients" The files are accessible on the old computer, despite not showing in dropbox or on dropbox website, so where would I find them since there wasnt space to actually put them in dropbox?
