Storage space
624 TopicsI've deleted all of my files on the desktop app, but my Dropbox account is still over-quota.
Dropbox Plan Free Device Mac Operating System/Browser (if using the web) macOS Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Question or Issue Like many users I am getting the Team Storage error 2.65 gb of 2.0gb and I can't do anything to correct the error. I am the Admin btw. I have deleting all of the files that I have on line, although I deleted some of them from my Mac as opposed to doing it by logging on to Dropbox.com. I suspect that the problem may be because of what the team members (7 of us) are storing on their local machines. None of us are software experts, so we are doing our best to figure this out. (We are the Exec of a motorcycle enthusiast club and we use Dropbox to make our membership list and other documents available to the exec members.) I have been trying to figure this out on my own and have not had any success. I would appreciate Andy help and guidance that you can offer. Where can you find and deselect the backup dropbox is making. I don't want the dropbox making backups. I only use it to share some files. If u go to preferences / back-ups I don't see any backups and yet there is backup space used in the dropbox.47Views0likes2CommentsThe total storage used doesn't match the size of files I see under the All files page.
I'm trying to get my storage down below the 2 GB limit, to go back to the free plan. I've made sure to delete all public files and other folders I wasn't using. I now have only one folder of photos listed under All Files, and the total size listed is 885.1 MB. When I go under the Subscription page, though, it says I'm using 2.2 GB. I initially deleted a huge file of photos, and the total storage number went way down, but now as I try to get it down more, it's like the 2.2 GB won't budge. I've spent hours and hours trying to reduce what I don't need, and I just need to get over the finish line!! It's just so frustrating. Why don't those two numbers match? I just spent over an hour troubleshooting with the Chatbot, with no clear answer...Please help! (Also, why can't I email someone, when it says that's included with my plan?? Infuriating.)198Views0likes17CommentsI'm having storage issues on my Dropbox plan
I am paying for 5TB of storage every month, but I have 7TB that I am using currently. I have no idea how I am storing so much. Can you show me what is so big? I want to delete it! Also - could it be items shared with me? Can you help me see what the biggest files are. Hello, Dropbox Team: I recently recommended a colleague to sign up for Dropbox. She's a new user and accepted my referral, downloading the app on her computer. However, my referral status marked as ineligible. Also, her account only has 2GB of storage space without additional bonus 500MB. Could you please help resolve this problem and restore our bonus space? Thank you very much for your time and help. We look forward to your reply. Sincerely, Li69Views0likes7CommentsDeleted everything, still over quota.
I downgraded to Dropbox Basic since I haven't been using Dropbox at all lately. I've deleted everything from my Dropbox, but I'm still showing as exceeding my limit. I've looked everywhere in my account using the web portal just to make sure I can find any and everything, and there's nothing remaining in my account (I downloaded everything prior to deleting). I even looked in the Dropbox folder on my Mac, and it's showing 0 items. When I go into my account through the web, it shows 6.1 GB of "Backup" but when I go to the DropboxBackup, there are no backups there.Solved150Views0likes12Comments
