I quickly deleted those files and several other and now my storage use is now down to 16,64%. However, Dropbox keeps sending me mails insisting that I need to upgrade my plan in spite of my low storage usage. It been a few weeks since I lowered my usage to 16,64% but the out of space-mails keep coming. How do I make this stop? MySpace still says that I've used up 3.1/ 3.8 GB but elsewhere in my storage says that I'm only using 0.1% storage. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and logged out and logged back in, and ensured that I don't have any language shared folders that are taking up space. The error message I keep receiving says that I need more space but I have virtually nothing worth of files at this moment. I can't even navigate to a page to start a customer support or help ticket or figure out how to actually contact Dropbox support. I have a number of not-for-profit files on the system, which are now under threat because Dropbox is now saying I only have a 2GB allowance. This came about after I uploaded some files on a temporary basis and hit my maximum storage space. This was quickly addressed, but I seem to have lost the space that I previously enjoyed, having earned it via referrals. Apologies, I'm sure this has been discussed, I just don't know what search terms to use to find it. I have two computers that access my Dropbox. Both store the files on the local drive but the laptop's drive is so full, I can't update Windows. It doesn't need to store them locally and can access them online. How do I remove all the local Dropbox files from that machine without removing them from the cloud storage? Hi, My personal Dropbox account ([removed]) shows 2.64 TB used out of 2.5 GB. The storage page says that the space is used by “Shared files (2.6 TB)” but I cannot see any shared folders in my account. I am not part of any team and I cannot find any shared folders under the /sharing or /share pages, or anywhere else in the interface. My own files are only around 190 kB. I also cannot change owner settings or leave any shared folder because nothing is visible. It seems like my account is linked to an old or hidden “legacy shared space” which is not visible in the current interface and cannot be removed by myself. Could a Dropbox Staff member please disconnect this hidden or legacy shared space from my account? This is the only way to restore the correct storage usage. Thank you very much. Hi, I just set up my Dad's brand new computer we bought from Lenovo and I referred him to Dropbox. Followed all the steps and it says he is ineligible. This is a new computer (not refurbished etc) that has not have dropbox installed before and he has never had a dropbox account before. Hello! I have a client that didn't realize he must've clicked for Dropbox to backup his files, despite having a free account with only 2 GB. Well he got a new computer, and his old drive was cloned to the new computer. Even with Dropbox signed in, the files aren't actually in Dropbox, despite opening programs on the old computer and the path showing something such as: "C:\Users\Owner\Dropbox\My PC (Owner-PC)\Desktop\Clients" The files are accessible on the old computer, despite not showing in dropbox or on dropbox website, so where would I find them since there wasnt space to actually put them in dropbox?62Views0likes7Comments
