Dropbox capture: we need to keep it active

I never comment in forums, but the recent announcement of discontinuing dropbox capture was disappointing the very least.

We gone into great lengths in training out team in using this user friendly tool, that we strongly believe Dropbox should reconsider.

Dropbox Team, please reconsider this decision, Dropbox capture does not need more functions, works great as it is, just keep it live, I'm sure this is not only for me but for a lot of Companies and users out there a fascinating tool that we use every day.

As much as I agree and would love it to happen I have never, ever, ever seen Dropbox go back on a change they've announced - and I've been on here since Dropbox was in beta!

Its also worth pointing out that actually its not even causing too many people to complain/question it on here. I've seen threads with thousands of posts on before and yet still nothing changed. Theres been very, very few comments on it :(

For info an official thread from Dropbox staff which you can post comments and feedback on is available here

This is a great communication tool. I use it every day to communicate design and program changes to my team. I love how seamlessly it integrates with Dropbox Paper. Please reconsider keeping this an active app within the Dropbox family of products!

Agreed! I like it more than Loom, very disappointing.

I thinks this is a great tool. Perhaps keep it as a Paid add on. Very useful gadget, it will be a boomer if it goes away

  • Capture is an important tool in Dropbox. It allows you to quickly create and share videos with ease. By leveraging Dropbox's best features—such as unlimited storage and video editing capabilities—Capture becomes an invaluable asset. Ignoring it would be a missed opportunity!

Loosing Capture is a huge disappointment !  It was my go-to method of sharing deliverables with clients, and it was one of the last few features that was keeping my on their cloud platform. I now have to look at moving everything away from Dropbox. (been an active user since 2013)

It was much faster and more seamless than Windows’ native tool, and perfectly integrated with Dropbox. Quick recording, instant sync, easy sharing — that’s real productivity. Removing it means losing a unique advantage.
