Hi, will the vault still be available for us plus customers after 4 March 2025?

Ok, so even that we pay for our subscription, we will lose a valuable asset. Will our monthly payment then be reduced as Dropbox offer less for our money?

We totally understand how valuable Dropbox Vault is to you, and we do appreciate your feedback.

While the pricing remains intact, our efforts are concentrated on further improving our existing security features and building new capabilities around advanced data protection. Our goal is to continue offering a service that helps you get the most out of your experience with us.

How do you justify removing THE MOST VALUABLE FEATURE of your customers and not lowering the subscription as your goal to continue offering a service that helps us get the most out of our experience with you? Having Vault and paying for more space to secure files brought you more money, when without it, most of us would not have paid for this higher subscription. Now it appears as a scam. And it’s a terrible inconvenience and there’s no assurance to trust your efforts of further improvements going forward.

Without Vault, you gave most people reason to believe you don’t have the capability of being able to help your customers get the most of their experience when you have just exposed a possible breach of our files by forcing their move.

If you have the capability to move our vault files, how exactly will you be able to do this as your Vault service claimed not even Dropbox can access our files and if we forget our pin, then Dropbox will not be able to access our files? Does this mean you have had access to our passwords or pins all this time?

Seems like a breach of contract and serious doubts of previous security protection of your customers.

The way I see it, the core functionality of Dropbox is file sync and storage. That's what we're paying for. Anything else on top of that is extra that's included at no additional cost. Those other features change over time as Dropbox gauges their use. Features that aren't heavily used or cost too much to continue support or development are left behind, but the core functionality always remains.

It's not a problem: we find a replacement program and stop paying Dropbox. After 15+ years I will be sorry, but if it no longer meets my needs, I will purchase something else. Bye bye DB
