Large List no longer available?

Hello,

I use Dropbox online (the web version, not the app version). I work under a business account (for my job), and generally, I would use the Large List option to view folders. We have far too many folders to use Grid or Large Grid, and the regular List option doesn't supply you with quite as much information as I would like (such as who uploaded the document/created the folder.

Recently, the Large List option has disappeared entirely, leaving only Grid, Large Grid, and List. I asked, and our Dropbox plan has not changed. I use Windows and work on Firefox, if that makes any difference.

Is there any way to fix this, or is Large List something that DB is doing away with?

Grateful for any help! Thank you!

  • hjhworks thanks for dropping by the community. I started looking into this issue on your behalf and discovered that we recently redesigned our List View, and the 'Large List' option has been removed.

Because this is a new change, some Dropbox customers can be temporarily opted-out and have the 'Large List' view returned. You should see the option return for you today but I don't know how long it will ultimately last.

Hey hjhworks, let's see what we can find about this!

I just tested this on my Dropbox account using Chrome, and I can see the Large List layout option without an issue.

I'm thinking it might be a browser-related issue, and need to exclude this from the list of possible causes.

Would you mind trying an entirely different browser to test this? While you're at it, please follow the steps mentioned in this Help Center article, in order to clear your browser's cache, and try an incognito mode too.

Let me know what you find!

I see the same options as hjhworks in Firefox, Chrome and Edge. There is no Large List option.

As Rich stated, I tested this on Chrome just now and still saw no option for Large List. I've also done as you suggested and cleared my cache, and also tried it on both Firefox and Chrome in incognito/private browser mode, and did not see the option on either of those.

Our Dropbox plan is "Dropbox Advanced". I also asked a coworker who lives in a different state, and he informed me that he also has lost access to Large List.

hjhworks Hey there, hope that Large List view is back for you.

I wanted to get a little bit of feedback if you're willing. Can you share what about Large List view is most appealing to you and what you find most helpful about it?
