This pops up EVERYTIME the page reloads on browser. I move, copy, rename, restore, etc. it reappears. I get it, I know I can do that. This and a few others in different pages keep reappearing as if I'm a new user or something. Someone please tell me how to disable these.Solved63Views0likes4Comments"There was an error downloading your file" error on the website
I keep having the same issue, connection works, have tried to clear the cache, incognito window, different browser, single file vs folder, some of them are word documents so the lightest possible thing and still get the exact same pointless message "error while downloading your file". It worked fine until yesterday so I have really no idea of what could be causing this.Solved44Views0likes3CommentsNew Paper interface is horrible...
Hi all I just had my paper docs migrated into my Dropbox account. However, I still have access to www.dropbox.com/paper. There is a new Paper UI that initially shows only a couple of files. For some reason, this new UI has a completely different conceptual model or way of working. And many of the basic conventions we had in the previous Paper UI have been removed or replaced by strange alternatives. For instance, a search on this empty space will actually return the results of your migrated Paper docs. They can be filtered, but incredibly, they cannot be sorted. On the left side, there is a sidebar that is almost empty. Apparently, it's up to the user to create a navigation structure there and populate it with documents. I challenge you to find who to do it, but drag and drop doesn't work. I was not offered any type of onboarding or tutorial to transition to this new UI. So, I guess I'll have to discover my way through it little by little. But honestly, I don't know if this new UI will also be removed soon. Can anybody explain what happened with Paper? Thanks119Views3likes5CommentsI can't download a 195GB video file; it won't complete past +/-25GB on the web/desktop app. Why?
Hi Dropbox community, I am trying to download a single 195GB Prores422 .mov video file from my dropbox. I can not seem to be able to download more than +/- 25GB at a time. This seems to be true for downloading via the browser or over the desktop application. Ive tried looking through the settings but it seems like there is some cut off that kicks in automatically. I am desperate to get this file to my friends as it a video clip of thier wedding. Getting this file downloaded should me easy. I have uploaded and downloaded around 500GB of media to and from dropbox in the past. I just can not be able to get this file downloaded. Im assuming it has something to do with the fact that its one file. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.210Views0likes16Comments“Failed to download folder” error when trying to download content from a shared link.
Hi Dropbox Support, I’m reaching out for assistance regarding an issue I’ve encountered while trying to download folders that were shared with me. Despite having a Dropbox Professional account, I’m repeatedly receiving a “Failed to download folder” error—even when the folder only contains 2 small files. I’m aware of the 20,000-item and 20 GB download limits, but the folders I’m attempting to download are well below that threshold. Could you please advise what might be causing this error and how I can successfully download the shared folders? Thank you in advance for your support.116Views0likes4CommentsThe 'download' button on the web fails or is unresponsive but only for one shared folder
I just got sent a shared folder. I keep hitting the 'download folder' and it is non responsive like I haven't clicked anything at all. I try individual files and those give me a notice 'failed to download'. No reason why. All other folders I have access to are responsive, only seems to be this folder. I've cleared cache and cookies which did not fix the issue.58Views0likes4CommentsMake the file hierarchy panel on the left expandable so I can see all my nested folders.
It would be much more convenient to be able to see the complete title of folders 5 levels or more down the hierarchy on the OSX desktop app. Currently, I have to click further up the hierarchy and look at the right-hand panel that opens up when a file is clicked. This reduces the high-level view and takes longer than simply pulling the divider to the right to view more of the file chooser menu on the left. I want to be able to move the divider (circled in red below) left or right to see whatever is convenient, given the task and view I need at that moment.48Views0likes1CommentMy photos won't open on Dropbox
I have used DropBox for many years but haven't used it the last year+. I have photo files in my computer that I have uploaded from my C drive and from my icloud but neither will allow the photos to open in DropBox. I'm not sure what's up. The .jpg files are over 100MB each. And I need to use DropBox to share these photos to customers.Solved141Views0likes9Comments
