Website host in DropBox?

Hi to the Community!

I have a WordPress website on mattresses that is taking more than one 4s to load and I can't a premium hosting right now! My friend told me that we can host a website in online storage.

I Love DropBox so I want to know can we host a website in Free Package?

Or I am thinking to host a single-page website on dropbox actually this is my important which I don't want to slow down. I'll buy a new domain and add the content and other stuff on DROPBOX and host!

Please have a look: [link removed per the Community's Guidelines]

Please let me know that the thing I mentioned above is possible? or you suggest something else?

Hello there, Dropbox is not designed to host websites. As far as I know, there is no way you can set a domain name with Dropbox currently. For your purpose (simple static website with domain name), I think Github pages (https://pages.github.com) or Netlify (https://www.netlify.com) would be great. Their free plans are quite generous, and let you setup domain names.

I also thought in the past that Dropbox would be a great domain hosting service!

I think it would be an interesting direction in terms of new features. I mean it would be kind of neat to be able to hook up certain directories to a domain, and run some back-end code, all within the context of having plenty of space.

Dropbox removed the ability to serve HTML directly from your account many years ago. I don't see them bringing that back, and especially not anything more advanced than what they already eliminated.
