Downloading this one to see if it solves that pesky bug on the last stable release: I can't access preferences while Dropbox is
"connecting" and my employer uses a proxy that I can't set until I access preferences, so basically I can't use the app at all.

Did it solve that proxy problem?
I am trying to download either Mac installer, but the files downloaded through Chrome are corrupt and macOS won't run them.

It did! Make sure you set your profile to receive beta updates or it'll auto-downgrade to the last stable release (the one that has that proxy bug) automatically.
