How can I get notified as soon as a new stable release to the desktop client is available ? I want to download and install it manually because the automatic updater hoses our synchronization so I'm going to need to do this manually for now immediately following a stable release.

    If you found a way to do that I'd love to know how. On my Mac I blocked a lot of stuff from communicating with the network which worked for a bit and the updates happened anyhow.
