If I got it right, youâd like to access your desktop app preferences, correct? If yes, you can take a look at this Help Center article.
Now, when it comes to your laptop, you can remove your Dropbox folders from your Finder with selective sync. This way, youâll only be able to access them online via this device.
When it comes to new files that are being added via the Dropbox website, you can choose the "Online-only" option under "New files default" here. This is to make sure that new files won't sync locally on your laptop in the future.
As for your desktop, if you can see all of your files within your Finder > Dropbox folder, then you should be all set there.
