Why can't I create a thread with a URL in the post?

When I try to create a post, I get pop up advising it can’t post as it contains HTML.
The only non ascii text is a Dropbox link … do you not allow a Dropbox link on a Dropbox post.

I used the ‘Insert link’ button

I can't post links, or even images such as screengrabs since the forum style has been updated. Others have commented on the same issue.

Tried a different browser, or clearing your cache/browsing history yet? I use Firefox primarily and it's working fine, whether I copy and paste a link or image directly into the post, or use the buttons on the format bar.

Just cleared my cache. Haven't tried a different browser yet, but this is what the forum reply box looks like for me. There's no option to insert an image.

Let me test posting a link again using a couple of methods:

Edit: Nope, didn't work, either directly inserting a link or using the link button. I have to break my links to post them.

    No insert image button: i.imgur.com/Qg7Az4z.png

Error message when inserting link: i.imgur.com/8JQqyFH.png

Edit, when editing the above, I first inserted the full URL exactly as I'd tried unsuccessfully already and THAT time, it loaded the image preview. I can't explain it. Let me try again.

Even weirder--I just had to try that twice before the preview appeared. Like I said, can't explain it!
