Allow a personal account to have more than 3 TB, or more than 4 TB with the add on
Hello,
I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.

Another person here subscribing to another service on top of Dropbox because I'm topped out already at 3tb. Would prefer a lot to pay the extra that I'm using to Dropbox and not have to deal with the hassle of having two cloud providers.

Agreed. While I myself don't need that much space on DB, I have several friends and colleagues who have massive sizes/numbers of files for their hobbies (CAD, etc) and could really use the extra storage space on DB so it's easy to work on their files between different devices/locations.
Honestly, having the option for individuals to purchase an additional 1 or 2 TB would be a great option. DB could just add a fee onto their monthly plan for each "extra" that the individual adds, similar to how other platforms do it (e.g. Zoom "large meeting" monthly fee can be added onto an existing plan)

Come on introduce atleast a way to increase storage at same or reduced pricing per TB. This is way overdue

오호호! 그 아이디어 좋은 것 같네요. 꼭 드롭박스에 사용되면 좋겠어요.

It's currently $60/year for 1TB of addon dropbox. Simply make more TBs available for adding on.
With 360, 5K, or GoPro videos you're looking at a ton of space. 5TB isn't unheard of. There are 20TB externals for <$400. If it's worth it to add 1TB surely you can add more?

I find the 3TB storage limit on the Pro plan to be insufficient for my needs. Last month, I chose not to renew my yearly subscription due to this limitation. I'd suggest considering the removal of this hard cap and possibly introducing a higher tier plan with more storage, even if it costs a bit more. For my usage, I would require at least 10TB to comfortably cover the storage needs of my 8TB MacBook Pro, with a few extra terabytes for safekeeping. Ideally, a 16TB plan would best suit me, but a 10TB plan could serve as an initial improvement.
Until such an option is available, I'll continue using the free plan. For me, there's not much difference between the 3TB limit and no storage at all, so I'll hold out for a 10TB version. Until then, I regret that I can't further support Dropbox as it's not enough for my Pro use. I hope you'll take my feedback into account.

Come on dropbox! We need a response!
You can see from my original post this option is in demand.
We need more space at an affordable cost, based on a single user.
SURELY YOU CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN, EVERYONE ELSE DOES.

PatVB I don't see much difference between 5 and the 3+1 you have right now. 10TB would be a first step toward catching up with competition. As music producer, graphic designer and web programmer I need at least 8TB (the size of my Macbook Pro), plus a couple TBs extra just for additional headroom. Of course the ideal would be Pro v2 plans as such: 5TB, 10TB, 15TB, 20TB
Because when the Apple M3s and M4s come out (M3 in fall and M4 in 2024-2025), they will offer 16TB internal SSD which I will upgrade to. So Dropbox need to prepare to upgrade their offering already for future-proof usability. I will upgrade from Dropbox 10TB to 20TB when changing my Macbook M1 to M3 or M4.
Note: I made sure to vote on the top right of the column.

The biggest difference between Dropbox and OneDrive is the size of the account. And I think this is one area where Dropbox could pull ahead in this race. Offering 5T for the price of 3-4T could be just what is needed by all those graphic artists and photographers out here who know what they need and it's not necessarily a 4T backup drive.
If you agree, please be sure to vote for this idea, top right of column where it says Vote for This Idea.

More TB add ons on Professional plan. Or a whole different plan for individuals that has more TB.
