Dropbox Office and Personal Account ; How can I merge two accounts?
Hello all.
I have a problem now with my account in Dropbox. All started when my office included me on their plan to gain access to all files for which i used my personal email which was linked to my personal Dropbox account. In that time Dropbox asked me for a second email address to link my personal account and my personal email got stuck to my office plan. Now i have kind of 2 accounts with 2 different emails. How can i go back to have only one account where i have all my files and not going from one to other. How can i merge the two accounts?
Thank you in advance.
Yes, it should work and you'd still have access to the files ehazbiu.

Hey there ehazbiu, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you clarify what your plan tab is showing at the moment on both of your accounts?
As for merging your accounts, you can have a look here for more information.
Keep me posted!

Hi Walter. Thank you for the quick reply. The one that was under the Office plan is currently Basic, and the added one is under subscription Plus. And i want to use only the account that has my personal email(Currently under Basic free plan).

Hi ehazbiu, oddly enough it sounds like you're using two individual accounts, and not a Business, and an individual one.
Has the admin of the team removed you from the team by any chance? Do you have files in both of these accounts?
What you can do is use a Shared Folder to move everything from one account to the other, or, download and re-upload everything between the two. You can see more about this here.

Hey ehazbiu1, did you have the chance to look through the steps both me, and Rich provided as to how you can go on about merging content between your accounts?
Do you have any questions?

@Megan, not yet because i have another question. Can i open this shared folder on the account which has a subscription (not the preferred email/account) and more free space, than move the files from the other (preferred account) to this folder? Than empty this account and delete it (preferred account) to free the email and replace this email in the not preferred account, without loosing the subscription and accessibility?? Sorry for the game of words.. but i do not have a phone number to call you guys and explain better.
Thank you

Hi ehazbiu, is the shared folder you're talking about in the Basic, or Plus Dropbox account?
Can you also clarify, where your files are at the moment?

@Megan it is on the Plus Dropbox account

Hey ehazbiu1, if the shared folder is in your Plus plan, and you wish to move it to the Basic one, you'd need to make sure there's enough space to host the folder there.
If on the other hand, you wish to move content from your Basic account, into the Plus one, that should also be great considering you have more free space there.

Will it work than when i delete the Basic account? I want to use the email of the Basic account on the Plus plan account.
