Dear Dropbox Team, My colleagues and I are experiencing an issue with accessing Dropbox via a proxy. Specifically, we can no longer include a backslash in our username. It appears that this character is suddenly no longer accepted as valid in the Dropbox settings. We have attempted to overcome this limitation by using "/", "%5C", and by omitting the domain, but none of these options have worked. Could you please let us know if there is a way to bypass this sudden limitation and successfully connect to our Dropbox folder again? Hi - my mac has just expired and i can no longer accress it - so I installed the latest version of Dropbox onto a new laptop in the hope of downloading all my documents/files onto its hard drive - however there's nothing there.. Ive signed into my account alright but I'm wondering if having changed my email login a few years ago all my files are on a different account. I had no problem accessing my files on the old computer and as far as I can remember the login details are the same.. Obviously I can't check the settings on my old mac anymore - I'm at a loss of what to do next to gain access.. Cheers.. My account may be under my old email address, and I just tried to access the acount with that address and Dropbox said it has sent a code to that address - however - that email address is no longer in existence, so I can't ever get a hold of the code!!!! I have a PC (Windows 11) with accounts for multiple users, i.e. a family PC. I am using dropbox, and it works well. However, other users are not using dropbox. These other users experience an annoying dropbox feature after every Windows login: A dropbox panel pops up and invites them to create a dropbox account. I think these users should be able to say "No thanks, and never ask again". But I haven't found a way to stop the panel from popping up again and again. Not having a dropbox account, these users have no access to dropbox settings and preferences. Is there a way to stop this invitation panel? I am unable to change the name of a device (an iPad) that appears in the online Security panel of my account. On the iPad I delinked the device from my Dropbox account, then confirmed that it disappeared from the device list in the online Security panel. Then on the iPad I changed the device name using the prescribed method. I verified that the name had been changed in the Apple ID section of the iPad settings. Then using the Dropbox app on the iPad, I added the device to Dropbox again. It reappeared in the Security panel of my online account, but without the name change. So I am stumped.
