Question I just purchased a plus account and would like to connect to Roksbox to view movies in Roku. I'm not seeing all of the share control settings that the instructions states, do I need to upgrade my subscription to have more options? Hello, I have used dropbox for several years (my dropbox mail address was: [Removed as per Community Guidelines]). The problem is that I cannot access my account since 2021. Sep. 2. Resetting password did not work. (No e-mail was arrived from dropbox.) Today, I tried to register dropbox account with the same mail address. Surprisingly, an account with the same mail address was created. Maybe my original account with my data file was deleted. I want to restore my data and original account. Hi there! I've have a free dropbox personal account for 15 years, and at some point added a free Teams account. Several years ago I upgraded the Teams account to a Professional account. ----- Today I got this message, and all my Professional files were taken off my machines (they're still on dropbox of course) Business Dropbox Removed: Your business Dropbox account was removed from this computer because your accounts were unlinked. Your files have not been deleted. ------ I would love to be able to link my two accounts, and continue having two separate dropbox home folders on my machine. Basically, I am leaving the country tomorrow morning and will have extremely limited internet access. I just need it to work how it used to, but I accept that I may need an alternate setup based on whatever Dropbox has changed. When I am signed into my Personal (free) account, it says I have 3TB of space, and the same for the Professional account. Within the settings menu the Pro account is called Personal Account, but when I check the billing plan for the Pro account, it calls it Dropbox Professional. Any solutions? Many Thanks! Somethings not right. I have a free plan which allows me to sync on 3 computers however when I attempt to add a second machine I get a message I have to sign out of one of them. See attched. At this juncture I am only connected to 1 computer and want to add a second. Why would I at this point have to sign out of one of them. I don't understand. In effect it's telling me I can only be signed into 2 machines, NOT 3. I never used to have this issue before, what changed. I receive an error saying "This billing country change isn't supported" when I try to change my credit card for billing as my old one expired. My old card was an Australian card and the new one is a US one. I need to access my old account. Two-step verification appears to be on. Code was sent to my old phone number, which has changed. I now have a new phone and new number. (Old phone no longer works as the screen is shattered/doesn't power on) I don't recall having an emergency backup code on hand either. I need to get into my old account. My email address for my old account is <SNIP> I know the password. I NEED TO TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE OR EMAIL A/S/A/P. I NEED A LIVE PERSON PREFERABLY. (I had to create a new email address, Google account, etc. all because two-step verification was "on". Apparently most of my online activity was linked to my old number, which no longer exists. My team has dropbox downloaded on several devices. Mobiles & Tablets: both IOS and Android. Computers: Mac and PC - yet for some reason we cannot go online (tried most browsers) and access the dropbox account online. I find that many Cloud services offer encryption during transfer to the service and encryption at the destination. Dropbox does this too. Unfortunately, the keys used at the destination are available to Dropbox. What would make Dropbox unique is if it would offer Zero Knowledge encryption at the client. That way all files are encrypted at the client with the customer retaining the keys. Why is this important? There can be bugs during transfer even if encryption is used (remember the famous OOPS with caches on internet servers offering up unencrypted data?). Also, the government can force Dropbox to deliver user data (or it may be compromised by hackers). Dropbox with Zero Knowledge Encryption would be a market leading solution that would drive a great preference over OneDrive, Google Drive and others.
