Personal plans with more storage
Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB.
Switching to a professional account is not an option, because:
- I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account
- a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1
Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).

I'm now at 2.7T with a 3T account. It isn't obvious that I can move to 5TB or 10TB without changing to an account with features (and I assume price increase) that I don't really want. The pricing needs to be more flexible. One type of account should have a base fee and then a fee per TB / month much like Amazon, BackBlaze, etc.
I've now purchased a 20TB NAS, a cloud backup from one of your competitors, and plan to move off of Dropbox in two months. A lot of the reason is uncertainty. This is my life's data and I just have no confidence that Dropbox will grow and accommodate my needs as I grow and expand. Other competitors offer a much more transparent pricing model.

3 TB used to be a lot, but things have moved on, why hasn't Dropbox (in this area)? The ability to add more space would literally transform this into an amazing product again for me, forward thinking and for the users like the old days. Please make Dropbox a bit bigger for personal use - as a customer who's been with you since the start I try to appreciate all the work that the team puts in, this would be the biggest possible improvement I think! Best wishes.

I would very much like to receive individual plans similar to those for business. I need to increase the space by more than 3 terabytes. They showed me the Standard tariff. But this turns out to be very unprofitable. I pay $ 19 for 3 terabytes. And at that rate, I have to pay $ 45 for 5 terabytes or $ 75 for the advanced plan with unlimited.
All these are business tariffs for a minimum of 3 users. But it is very unprofitable for one user to take such tariffs.
3 terabytes is not enough for those who are engaged in video and photo 😞
Sorry if my english is bad!

As a single user of Dropbox Professional, I have recently found myself hitting the limits in terms of storage (3TB) and shared link bandwidth (400GB per day) as I'm running out of room for all my files, and finding that clients with whom I share links are downloading too many files, causing my account to be blocked.
I would be very happy to upgrade my Dropbox Professional and pay for more storage / bandwidth, but no option for that exists. Equally, I'd be pleased to upgrade to a Dropbox Business account - but there is no existing option for a single user (I'm a consultant / one-man business, I don't have team members).
I'd like to think that a technical solution for this must be straightforward, and while I appreciate that I may represent a niche of users, I can't be alone on this one. In my work, greater flexibility / options means greater customer satisfaction - and Dropbox could improve my user experience satisfaction by helping me to upgrade to the level of service my business requires.
Thanks and fingers crossed for a solution soon!

I have grown my Dropbox plan over these years. I am currently on the Business Professional Plan with 3GB capacity.
I require a larger storage capacity, and as I don't have others on my team, I would like for you to offer larger capacity plans for single users. Maybe a 5GB and a 10GB plan. - gcsheph5 years agoExplorer | Level 4
With the size of files these days, while 3 TB seems like a lot, in some cases it really isn't enough. The only option above that is to go to a 5 TB business plan where an individual (not a business) has to pay for a lot of features that are unnecessary just to get the larger limit. So the only recourse is to go with the 3 TB limit plan or seek an alternative to dropbox. I hope they will consider this.

if dropbox doesn't care about customers wanting to give them more revenue, try iDrive. Not quite the functionality, but lots of storage for cheap. I moved my archive files that i don't need to access often to them.

I am a one-man-band, with a lot of data and backup needs.
Although I can get more cloud storage with the Teams Plan, that's just too expensive for one person since you have to pay for three users.
I'm currently using 1.3TB out of my 2TB Plus plan and have 2TB more I wish to add. Unfortunately, that would exceed the 3TB cap of your Professional plan.
Could you PLEASE offer a 4TB Professional+ Plan!!! - bbhutchin5 years agoHelpful | Level 5
I would love to take my business elsewhere, since dropbox appears to be non-responsive to their customers wants and needs. The problem is, that all of my clients use dropbox and don't yet have the need to take their business elsewhere. Come on dropbox! I don't want to buy 3 licenses just for my self! I want to give you more money for more space (as do countless other customers). The 3TB limit is killing me.......

Three TB is just too small for me, but I am the only user and don't want to spend money on features I will never use. The three user business accounts are too expensive for me, and not a good fit.
Dropbox, please institute a 'Professional Plus' account for solo people like me, and charge another 33% for unlimited space. My wallet is open but I currently have no upgrade path.
