To have the ability to either delete individually or clear list of viewed links. Currently have links containing sensitive information received from others that i can't clear or alternatively, lots of dead links

I 100% do not need, or even want, to have a list of dropbox links I've opened before. If I had any need to ever save anything from a dropbox link, I would have saved it myself. The last thing I need is more stuff tracking everything I do online and opening myself to inadvertent privacy invasions when I open or look at a part of Dropbox. All I need is a cloud backup and a basic file manager. The rest of it my brain can deal with.

When can we expect the (visited shared) link removal feature to be implemented under the visited links section? This is an urgent issue of privacy, especially as private links can be mistakenly opened in team accounts.

The ability to manage what shows up in your own Dropbox is crucial. Regardless of whether or not the viewed links/folders take up space, the ability to manage what is shown within my own storage should not be determined by anyone but me. The deletion of a viewed link/folder from my file viewer would be simple to implement and would prevent those who frequently share links from getting a cluttered homepage.

I'm glad it doesn't take storage, but I want to delete the link completely from MY account. If we can delete files that we own, why can't we remove links that we don't want to retain?

BullfrogDrop Items that appear in your Viewed Links section are simply files or folders that were shared with you through a link. They are not stored in your Dropbox and do not take up any space in your account unless you choose to save them to your Dropbox.
The person who originally shared the content controls access. If they delete the file or disable the shared link, it will no longer be available to you.

These files and folders that appear in the Viewed Links folder also show up for me when I search my Dropbox account for files, and they are tagged "shared by" and include files size info.
Are these files/folders actually taking up storage space on my account? I have no option to delete them, or "leave folder", etc, but I can still download them and re-share them with others. Can the account that shared these files/folders originally do anything about this on their end?

trying this again as my previous comment appears to have disintegrated, but i agree with needing the ability to be able to clear the viewed links folder, sometimes you can just accidentally click on one that you didnt mean to while signed in with a work account and boom, its just there, with no way to get rid of it. pleeeaaase give us this

piggybacking off of dropce, respectfully this should have always been a thing, opening any "sensitive" links, even if by pure accident, is just a death sentence of embarrassment that could easily be avoided, please team, PLEASE 😭 there is no need to have them there permanently
