Discuss Dropbox Developer & API
Hi ,
I am trying to connect dropbox from my c# application in which I used dropbox.api.dll to connect and upload files. Its working in my local computer but not working in server. I got error "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation".
I investigate and found dropbox.api.dll is not registered with windows GAC.
Any one can help on this.
Hi there @Gyanendra; welcome in our Community!
The Dropbox app isn't designed to run on Windows Server operating systems, however you may find it to be functional if you run the Dropbox app as an application in a user account, instead of as a server service.
For more information on this, you can have a look here.
Let me know if there's any other questions I can help with!

It looks like this is a duplicate of: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-API-Support-Feedback/I-am-getting-error-in-uploading-files-i...
Regarding the Windows "global assembly cache", I can't offer help with that in particular as that's not made by Dropbox, but the instructions for that seem to be available here.
