Hi Team,
Recently we have wsitched to apiv2 version. I am using java for development. Files with "docx" and "xls" extensions showing below exception while uploading. Other file extensions such as "pdf", "xlsx" etc. are working.

Based on the stack trace you shared, the issue here is being caused by:
java.net.UnknownHostException: content.dropboxapi.com
That indicates an issue looking up the Dropbox API content servers by the 'content.dropboxapi.com' hostname. That's the correct hostname though, and the DNS lookup for that is currently working properly for me. That being the case, please troubleshoot whatever DNS server you're using to see why that isn't properly resolving for you.
(The file extension of the file you're trying to upload wouldn't be relevant here, as this is failing at a different layer, so that was likely a coincidence.)
